What is an Energy Statement?
The purpose of Energy Statements is to clarify how a development will achieve a reduction in energy usage or CO2 emissions that complies with the minimum standards set out by the local planning authority and which go beyond UK Building Regulations. Thus demonstrating a commitment to achieving a sustainable development or, for example, a 35% cut in carbon emissions.
What information do we need from you?
- Floor plans, elevations & sections
- Orientation e.g. site plan / location plan
- Construction specification of floors, walls and roofs
- Specification for all openings
- Services specification (i.e. space heating / hot water / lighting / ventilation)
- Renewable technologies (if any)
- Copy of planning conditions set by Local Planning Authority (if available)
- Information about how you will source materials
